UPSSSC PET Vacancy 2026: Category--wise Details

UPSSSC PET Selection Process & Exam Details

Deadlines and Time Left

• The exam is 28 day(s) away (about 4 week(s)).

What Happens After the Admit Card

Think of the admit card as your entry ticket. It carries your exam centre, shift and reporting time, and the exam, the answer key and the Sarkari Result come after it in that order.

How the Vacancies Are Split

Scientific Assistant is the largest Sarkari Naukri with 134 of the 208 posts (64% of the total). The smallest lot is Lab Assistant (Special / Backlog) with 5 post(s), so competition per seat differs sharply between posts. There are 4 separate post lines; check each one against your qualification instead of applying for the headline number.

Post-wise Eligibility at a Glance

Post-wise qualification level, subject requirement and minimum marks, where the notice states them:

Preparation Plan From the Dates

• With about 4 weeks left, prioritise high-weight topics, revise one subject per day and take a timed mock every third day.
• Track negative marking rules in the notice and practise attempting only questions you are reasonably sure of.
• Read the exam pattern once fully so you know the sections, marks and duration before you begin.

If the link does not open, try a different browser or device, clear the cache and avoid the peak hours. The organisation often extends the download window.

Details to Check on Your Admit Card

• Your name, roll number, date of birth and category
• Photograph and signature – they should be clear and belong to you
• Exam name, date, shift and reporting time
• Exam centre name and full address
• Instructions and the list of items not allowed inside
• Any space for signature or thumb impression to be filled at the centre

If any detail is wrong or missing, contact the helpline on the admit card at once and keep a screenshot as proof. Do not wait for exam day.

Exam Day Rules and Reporting

Reach the centre well before the reporting time. Gates are usually closed before the exam begins and late candidates are not allowed in.

Keep the bag light. The admit card, a valid photo ID and the permitted stationery are all you usually need; electronic items are often banned.

Exam City Slip and Admit Card: The Difference

Many exams release an exam city intimation slip first. It tells you the city so that you can book travel, but it is not the entry pass. The admit card comes later and has the exact centre, date, shift and reporting time.

If You Cannot Download or Lose the Admit Card

First make sure the registration number and date of birth are exactly as you entered them in the form. If you still cannot log in, use the helpline number or email in the official notice. Print more than one copy after downloading.
