What Happens After the Admit Card
Sometimes an exam city slip comes first and the admit card follows a few days later. Download both early, because the website slows down on the last day, and keep two printouts ready.
For ICRB Scientist / Engineer the stages are Written Examination, Interview and Merit List. Keep preparing for the later rounds while the earlier one is still running.
How the Vacancies Are Split
Scientist/Engineer ‘SC'(Electronics) is the largest Sarkari Naukri with 100 of the 175 posts (57% of the total). The smallest lot is Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Computer Science) with 22 post(s), so competition per seat differs sharply between posts. There are 3 separate post lines; check each one against your qualification instead of applying for the headline number.
Post-wise Eligibility at a Glance
Post-wise qualification level, subject requirement and minimum marks, where the notice states them:
| Post | Minimum level | Subject needed | Marks needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scientist/Engineer ‘SC'(Electronics) | Engineering Degree | Engineering | 65% |
| Scientist/Engineer ‘SC'(Mechanical) | Engineering Degree | Engineering | 65% |
| Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Computer Science) | Engineering Degree | Computer / IT, Engineering | 65% |
Preparation Plan From the Dates
- With about 3 weeks left, prioritise high-weight topics, revise one subject per day and take a timed mock every third day.
- Selection runs through: Written Examination → Interview → Merit List. Prepare for the later stage while the first is still pending, because gaps between stages are usually short.
- Track negative marking rules in the notice and practise attempting only questions you are reasonably sure of.
- Read the exam pattern once fully so you know the sections, marks and duration before you begin.

Details to Check on Your Admit Card

- Photograph and signature – they should be clear and belong to you
- Exam name, date, shift and reporting time
- Exam centre name and full address
- Instructions and the list of items not allowed inside
- Any space for signature or thumb impression to be filled at the centre

Exam Day Rules and Reporting
Reach early, find your room and keep a buffer for security checks.
Keep the bag light. The admit card, a valid photo ID and the permitted stationery are all you usually need; electronic items are often banned.
Exam City Slip and Admit Card: The Difference
The city slip is only an advance notice of the city where you will write the exam, so you can plan travel and stay. Entry to the hall needs the admit card, which shows the centre address, shift and timings.
If You Cannot Download or Lose the Admit Card
First make sure the registration number and date of birth are exactly as you entered them in the form. If you still cannot log in, use the helpline number or email in the official notice. Print more than one copy after downloading.
