IBPS Probationary Officer (PO) 16th Pre Selection Process & Exam Details

Selection normally runs in this order for this kind of Sarkari Naukri. The official notice has the final word, so check it for the exact rounds.

2. Main Exam
3. Interview

What Comes After This Sarkari Result

Do not stop at the scorecard. The notice usually names a next stage, such as document verification, interview or counselling, and missing its date can cancel an otherwise good Sarkari Result.

Recruitments like Probationary Officer (PO) 16th Pre usually go through First Exam, Main Exam and Interview. The official notice gives the exact rounds and dates.

How the Vacancies Are Split

Bank of Baroda BOB is the largest government job with 1,900 of the 7,365 posts (26% of the total). The smallest lot is Punjab & Sindh Bank with 161 post(s), so competition per seat differs sharply between posts. There are 9 separate post lines; check each one against your qualification instead of applying for the headline number.

Post-wise Eligibility at a Glance

Different posts in this notice ask for different qualifications (Graduate, Post Graduate). Match yourself to the post you want, not to the headline.

Checking the IBPS Result: What You Need and Where to Look

Candidates can check the Probationary Officer (PO) 16th Pre result on ibps.in. Look for the result link under the Sarkari Naukri or notices section and log in with the details printed on your admit card. Its date is 23 Sep 2026.

Heavy traffic is common when a result goes live. A patient retry, or a different browser, usually works better than repeated refreshing.

Understanding Marks, Rank and Cut-off

Not every result gives marks. Many only list roll numbers that have qualified, and the score card is released separately.

Do not read too much into cut-offs shared on social media. The real cut-off is set by the number of vacancies, the paper difficulty and category-wise performance, and it changes every cycle.

In case of tie in marks, the notice usually explains the tie-break rule, such as age, marks in a particular section or alphabetical order.

What Happens After the Result

Most candidates lose a chance not in the exam but at the verification stage. Keep your papers ready as soon as the result is out.

Watch out for messages that ask you to pay money for selection or for a job letter. Government organisations do not sell jobs, and genuine communication comes only through the official portal, registered email or post.

Documents to Keep Ready for Verification

• Admit card and a printed copy of the application form
• Class 10 certificate for the date of birth and name
• Educational certificates and marksheets for the needed qualification
• Category certificate in the format given by the government (if you claim a reservation)
• Government photo ID such as Aadhaar, passport or voter ID
• Passport-size photographs as mentioned in the notice
• Any experience, disability or domicile certificate asked for in the notice

The exact list is always given in the official notice for this govt job. Names, dates of birth and category on all papers should match your application.

Common Mistakes After a Result

Do not wait for the last date of verification; a missing paper found late can cost the seat.

Forwarded lists and expected cut-offs on social media are often wrong. Always go back to the official PDF for the final word.

Who can apply to IBPS

A graduation degree in any discipline is the usual requirement for PO and Clerk posts, while SO posts ask for a specific degree. The general age band is 20 to 30 years for officers and 20 to 28 years for clerks, with relaxation for reserved categories. Knowledge of the local language is often needed for clerk and RRB posts.
