Exam Day Rules and Reporting

Plan your journey a day early. Bus and train delays are not accepted as a reason for late entry.

Carry the printed admit card and an original photo ID. Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators and bags are often prohibited, and the centre may not have a place to keep them safely.

Exam City Slip and Admit Card: The Difference

Many exams release an exam city intimation slip first. It tells you the city so that you can book travel, but it is not the entry pass. The admit card comes later and has the exact centre, date, shift and reporting time.

If You Cannot Download or Lose the Admit Card

Check that you are using the correct registration number and date of birth, exactly as in your form. If the problem continues, write to the helpline email or call the number on the official notice. Take a few printouts once it is downloaded, because one copy may be collected at the centre.

How SBI selects candidates

Officers usually clear an online first exam, a main exam and then a psychometric test, group exercise and interview. Clerks take a first and main exam and a local language test. Every stage carries negative marking in objective papers, so accuracy is as important as speed.
