Photo and Signature Joiner – Merge Photo and Signature in One Image
Some application forms and offline-style forms ask you to send the photograph and the signature together in one image, one below the other. Doing this in a phone gallery editor is difficult, and the final size often becomes too big. This joiner puts both pictures on one white sheet in the size you choose and then reduces the file to your KB limit.
You pick the photo, you pick the signature, you choose whether they should come one below the other or side by side, and the tool prepares a single JPG. Both pictures stay on your own device.
How to use the Photo & Signature Joiner
- Choose your photo in the first box and your signature in the second box.
- Select the arrangement: "one below the other" puts the photo on top, "side by side" puts the photo on the left.
- Type the width and height of the photo box and of the signature box in pixels. Add a small gap if you want some white space between them.
- Type the maximum file size in KB if the form has a limit, press "Join the two pictures", check the preview and download the JPG.
When do you need a joined image?
Most forms take the photo and the signature as two separate uploads, and for those you should use the Photo & Signature Resizer. A joined image is needed only when the notice clearly says that both should be in one file. Read the instruction on the form first. If you are not sure, send them as the form asks, separately.
Choosing the box sizes
A normal photo box is a little taller than it is wide, for example 200 x 230 pixels. A signature box is wide and short, for example 200 x 80 pixels. When the pictures are placed one below the other, the sheet becomes as wide as the wider box, and the smaller box is placed in the middle. When they are side by side, the sheet becomes as tall as the taller box.
Do not make the boxes bigger than needed. A larger sheet will take more KB, and the tool will have to reduce the quality to fit your limit.
Small things that save a rejection
- Use a signature that is dark and on white paper, so that it stays clear after the joining.
- Keep "Keep the whole picture" for the signature so that no stroke is cut.
- If the form wants a border, choose the thin black border.
- Open the joined file once on your phone before uploading, to see that both parts are clear.
Frequently asked questions
Does the joined image have a white background?
Yes. The sheet is white, so the picture looks clean on any form.
Can I set the final KB size?
Yes. Type the maximum size in KB and the tool keeps the best quality that still fits.
Will my pictures be uploaded to your site?
No. Joining is done in your browser and the pictures never leave your device.
Can I change the order of the photo and the signature?
The photo is always first (top or left). If you need the signature first, upload the two files in the other boxes in the order you want and swap the sizes.
Which file type do I get?
A JPG, which is the type most forms accept.
